To enable PayID on your account:
Click on the Settings tab in the menu panel, select Configure Payments, then locate the PayID section and click Activate PayID.
If any required information is missing, you’ll be prompted to update it in the Business Details section of your account. The system will highlight exactly what’s needed and guide you to make the updates.
This may include details such as your business contact information or business website.
Once updated, return to the Configure Payments page and re-attempt activation.
Choose your PayID configuration:
- Customer Reference (default setting) recommended for most users
- External ID
Submit your request. Your status will show as Pending while registration is processed. This can take up to 3 business days.
Once PayID is enabled:
You will receive an in-app notification confirming PayID is ready to use.
You can then toggle PayID on or off for use within the Payment Portal and Xero invoices, just like other payment methods.
PayID will automatically appear as a payment option for your customers when enabled, allowing them to make real-time payments directly from their bank.
