To enable PayID on your account:
Click on the Settings tab in the menu panel, select Configure Payments, then locate the PayID section and click Activate PayID.
If any business information is missing, such as contact information or your business website, you’ll be prompted to update it in the Business Details section of your account. The system will highlight exactly what’s needed and guide you to make the updates.
If other details such as Director or Officeholder details are missing, you may be prompted to contact support to update.
Once updated, return to the Configure Payments page and re-attempt activation.
Choose your PayID configuration:
- Customer Reference (default setting) recommended for most users
- External ID
Submit your request. Your status will show as Pending while registration is processed. This can take up to 3 business days.
Once PayID is enabled:
You will receive a notification on your dashboard confirming PayID is ready to use.
Like other payment methods, PayID can be enabled or disabled in the Configure Payments settings, which determines whether it appears as an option on payment requests, the Payment Portal, and Xero invoices.
PayID will automatically appear as a payment option for your customers when enabled, allowing them to make real-time payments directly from their bank.
