How it Works
Payment Requests & Links
When you create a payment request or send a payment link, your customers will now see PayID as a payment option (If you have this enabled) alongside credit cards and other methods. They simply:
- Select PayID as their payment method
- Receive a unique PayID email address (e.g., ABC123@pad.live)
- Use their banking app to send payment to that email address
- Payment is instantly processed and confirmed
There are three types of PayID set ups
- Unique PayID's - This is to ensure every single payid given to a customer is different. This setting is required to be requested for Pay Advantage support as it is only needed for specific circumstances. It includes payment amount checking and will close the payid once paid.
- Consistently created PayID's - This is the most common type of payid. It is the same payid email address each time for the customer. But it is only available to be paid to when a payment request is created for that customer. It includes payment amount checking and will close the payid once paid. The main benefit to this type of payid, is that customers can save it in their bank account and every time they make a new payment request they can pay to the same payid but with the specifically required amount.
- Persistent PayID's - These are created as an open ended payids that your customers can pay into at any time. They do not closed and are used in the same way BPAY references are used.
